Are there any gas, life jacket, etc.. other expenses that are related to the boat rental?
No – the pricing is all inclusive of any related expenses
Do I need to have a boater’s license to drive the boat?
For the 2025 summer season, you do not need to have a license to drive the boat. The 2026 season will bring some changes to regulations for boater licensing requirements. Stay tuned and we will provide further details as the new regulations become finalized.
Do I drive the boat? Or do you provide a driver for us?
You are the captain of this vessel! We provide a brief overview of the boat and the Lake and help with the most technical aspects of the voyage – which is leaving and returning to the dock.
Can I get lost on the Lake?
Anything is possible – however, to allay any fears for the navigationally challenged we will provide you with a map of the Lake and we also make sure you have our phone number in case there is any difficulty. We can assist either from onshore or we come out and assist on the Lake.
Is the Lake safe? Are the boats safe?
We do everything we can to ensure a safe experience. There is a waiver for you to sign that will outline many different expectations and rules that we have to make sure your experience is as safe as possible.
When is your operating season?
Our season runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day, covering the summer months.
Can I leave my boat on your docks for the season?
We have a long waiting list for slip renters – but occasionally something will open up. Talk to the manager on-site if you have a boat you’d like to dock with us for the season.
Are there sharks in the Lake?
Come on! Now you’re pulling my leg. No sharks here. But there are some fish and people do go fishing.
Can I bring my own food/drinks?
Absolutely – make yourself comfortable for the duration of your boat rental. We will help carry those heavy coolers from your car onto your boat.
Is there parking onsite?
We do have a limited parking lot – you will be given specific parking instructions prior to your arrival.
Do you rent kayaks? Or other watercraft?
Nope – we stick to the Pontoon boats on Pontoosuc.
What is your cancellation policy?
You must contact us to cancel 48 hours prior to your reservation for a full refund. You will not receive any refund if you do not contact us 48 hours prior to reservation. We are fully aware that people are hesitant to rent a boat in bad weather – we are very reasonable with people that contact us within that 48-hour window due to bad weather.
